He still wears a pull up at night, although most nights and naps he wakes up dry, I just hate that he sleeps in it if he does have an accident! Yuck! So we still do pull ups. He was a little stubborn at first, but got the hang of it, and now he pretty much just always tells me when he has to go. He's not perfect and has an accident here and there, but I am just SO proud of him! He did so good on our drive up to the Dells, he didn't have any accidents, and only had 1 while we were there and that was while he was running to try to make it to the potty. I would probably say that potty training has been our hardest feat yet, but we DID IT! Yipee!!
I can't believe what a big boy he is now! In the last month he has started to let go of things and just stand there, at first it was just for a few seconds, but it has progressed to a minute or 2. He won't take a step, but maybe sometime soon. I'm not in a hurry for him to walk, I just want him walking by summer fun time! I hated taking Luke out when he was crawling and he would eat everything on the ground, the knees of his pants had holes and were always muddy. Well...actually, that hasn't really stopped. I guess that's just a boy thing! Noah tries so hard to talk, he says a few words and imitates a lot of sounds and words we say. He loves to make me laugh and smile, he just melts my heart! He mostly loves his brother, and now that he is older, Luke actually plays with him, sometimes, but I think Noah mostly annoys him because he's always trying to steal his toys! This boy has brought more joy to our lives than I could have ever imagined, I love my boys more than anything. I am one lucky momma!
He is growing up so quickly! He now eats pretty much only table food, whatever we are eating, cut into tiny pieces. He loves to feed himself! At his appt this month, the dr was a little concerned because he hasn't gained weight really since 6 or 7 months. He is growing in height and has hit all his milestones on time or early so I am not too concerned. I am just making sure he eats more food now. He didn't like me feeding him, so sometimes he wouldn't eat much or would refuse all together. The dr wasn't too concerned because he is growing over all, but he said if he does t gain at all, he may want to start testing him for other stuff that could be going on internally.

Noah, I am pretty sure I can safely say now, is sleeping through the night, for the last almost 2 months. It is so nice to get a full nights rest again. He also is a pretty good napper, taking 2 good naps a day.

This month Noah is saying words am in pretty sure he is actually saying them and not just babbling. He crawls around following me saying "momma, momma, moooooommmmmmmma!" And he also says "dadda"

It's fun watching him grow into a little person with such a dynamic personality! He keeps me laughing all day! He sure does love his momma, but he I probably the biggest fan of his big brother Luke. Everything Luke does is funny and pretty awesome in Noah's adoring eyes :)
I am really enjoying watching their relationship blossom. At the beginning Luke was not a fan of Noah. He actually had a really rough time with the transition. I was sad and discouraged hoping that this is not how it would always be. As Noah is getting older, and beginning to play and crawl around chasing Luke I have seen slowly a bond start to develop between the boys. Luke some days crawls into Noah's crib to lay and play with him. And constantly is asking where he is when he is sleeping. Today he saw his empty carseat by the door and said "Oh no! Mommy, Noah got out of his carseat! Where did he go?" He was so concerned about him, but he was in his room napping. It drives me a little crazy sometimes because he kept trying to get into his room when he is sleeping. BUT, I love how much he loves his brother. Today after lunch we all laid in Luke's bed to read a nap time story. Luke kept asking me if Noah could nap with him. Yea right. Like there would be any "napping" going on! Within the next year, we want to put the boys together in Luke's room. That will be interesting to say the least. :)

This picture melts my heart. I literally had tears in my eyes. Jared was reading the boys a story and Luke put his arm around Noah and was rubbing his back. Oh Lord, let these boys always love each other like that. I pray they have a close bond where they can always trust each other and know that the other one will have his back. I love these boys with all my heart. Sometimes I wonder to myself how on earth I lived and loved before I had these boys. They are my heart. I feel sad for children who grow up and never know the true love of a sibling.

How is this possible!! Well, actually he is more like 8 1/2 months. I am late on this post. He sure keeps me busy chasing him around, he is such a curious little boy. Into EVERYTHING! He is still my sweet little happy boy, except when he is teething. Oh my, this boy gets crabby! He has a very intense personality, he is either REALLY happy, or when he is mad, he is REALLY mad! He has been crawling everywhere! Pulls himself up on everything and walks along anything he can hold onto. He loves to eat, well actually he loves to feed himself. He gives me a rough time trying to feed him baby food. He would much rather pick it up and feed it to himself. So we have started giving him pieces of veggies and fruit and he feeds himself. He just recently switched over to formula, I was having trouble since he was 6 months with my milk supply, so we finally just switched over to formula a couple weeks ago. I love watching this boy grow, he adores his brother and it is fun to watch them actally play together now! So thankful they have each other!
I can't say enough how much of a joy this little man is in our lives! I can't imagine what our family would be with out him! He is my sweet, sweet, happy boy! Always smiling and laughing, especially at his big brother! He babbles and screams and squeals all day long, he says dada all the time, but I'm pretty sure he is just babbling, I'm sure Jared would say differently, and I guess we will let him think that! :) Noah is now sitting up on his own, and can almost get himself into the sitting position on his own. He is army crawling/scooching all over the place, and gets up on all 4's rocking back and forth, but hasn't quite figured out how to get himself forward, other than just lunging forward. He now eats cereal and veggies/fruits 3 times a day. So far he has tried rice and oatmeal cereal, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, apples, carrots and I made pears, but he will probably get those tomorrow. I just can't believe how fast he is growing!

We had to take Noah for his first ER visit about a month ago. He scared the crap out of us. One morning I went into his room to check on him when we woke up because Luke wanted to, and when I walked into the room I found Noah in his crib white as a ghost, with blue lips, with shallow breathing, and when I picked him up he had no muscle tone and was like a limp noodle. Jared took him immediately to the ER and as soon as they got there his color came back and he was back to his normal happy self. They admitted him and ran a bunch of tests because they thought maybe it was a seizure, they ruled that and pretty much everything else out. The really only explanation they could come up with, was their best guess, that maybe because of his acid re-flux he had been choking on his spit up. So basically we didn't really get any answers other than to keep him on his acid re-flux medication and just monitor him. He has been completely fine since, but of course mommy has been paranoid about everything. But it made me realize even more than I already knew, that this little boys life is so precious, and my life would not be complete with out him in it.
I love that place! They had a special night for mothers and sons. It had a Mid-evil Knights theme. It was such a blast! There was tablecloths and centerpieces on the tables that were set aside for our reservations. The cow was dressed as a Knight and was walking around the store, Luke LOVED the cow! He kept running up and dancing for him and making silly faces at him! They had a photo booth set up where Luke and I got our picture taken together, they also had someone there drawing characatures of the boys. One of Luke's favorite parts was the jester and the fool walking around having sword fights. I really had a great time with Luke, I love watching his face light up when he is happy. My favorite part was when he kept turning to me and putting his arms around my neck and giving me a giant hug and a kiss for no reason. My heart melts.<3 I adore that sweet boy!
Did I not just have this baby boy yesterday? How is he already 6 months old?

Noah is still my little bundle of joy. He is my laid back, sweet lovey boy. I hope he stays that way, BUT, as he is a boy, I am not holding my breath.

Noah is starting to be able to sit on his own, not for long, but stays longer every day! He is getting stronger, and cuter every day!

At his appt yesterday, Noah weighed 15 lbs 10 oz and was 27 inches long.
He loved that he got to get up and dance. He was jumping and dancing around and trying to catch the bubbles from the bubble machine. So glad we were able to take them. Even Noah enjoyed watching all the lights and characters dancing around on the stage!
This year for Halloween we went to a friends church for their trunk or treat, since we were unable to go to our own. Luke was Batman and Noah was Robin, although, it was SO cold out that Noah was all bundled up in the stroller anyway, so you couldn't even see his costume. But, that's ok. I saw it and took some pictures, and that's all that matters!

Luke said bye bye to his paci's and through them in the garbage, we told him the paci fairy was going to come and give them to little babies that needed them, and since he was a big boy now, he doesn't need them anymore! We celebrated with pizza and cupcakes with Grammy and Grampy! It was so cute! We were cheering him on and clapping when he threw them out, he was so excited! It was hilarious. Jared put him to bed and he asked a few times for it, but Jared explained that we gave them up tonight for the babies and he didn't ask anymore and went to bed. So for the first night, things went well...let's HOPE it continues that way!

He wasn't too sure about it. He kept looking at me like, lady, what are you putting in my mouth! Love this boy! We will have to try again! I started making and freezing some food for him, I can't wait to try those. But for now...we will stick with boring old rice cereal and breast milk! :)
I can't believe Noah is 5 months old! Well, he was 5 months on 10/4/12, I'm posting a little late. He is my little happy pants! He has decided for the last month or so that he wants to wake up all night long! Yuck, where did my great sleeper go? I have to remind myself that this too shall pass ALL night long!
He rolls all over, but has been doing that for a while now. He loves to sit up (with my help or the Bumbo) and see everything!
Luke is a talker. All day long he talks. I love how much he can talk now. He is my little sponge! He knows a good chunk of his letters and some numbers. He loves to sing songs and watch ANYTHING on TV. We try to limit how much TV he watches. He loves to play with his Cars, and Toy Story characters, his bat mobiles, and tools. And any chance he can get he tries to steal my iPhone or iPad and plays his games or watches his shows on netflix on there. He is addicted to them already.
Luke has definitely warmed up to his brother. Most mornings he goes with me into Noah's room to get him up. He loves to climb up and look over and smile at Noah and say "Hi Noah!" or "Good morning Noah" He shares his toys with him and every now and then through out the day will just walk by him to say hi and every great once and a while will give him hugs and kisses with out me asking him to! :) It melts my heart!
About a month ago we moved Luke into his big boy bed! He does AWESOME!! I was SO nervous for this transition! But he was so ready. He looked at us like we were crazy the first night, but went right to sleep and has done so every night since, and for his nap everyday he sleeps most days 3+ hours in there. And when he wakes up before us, he just hangs out in his bed. He knows that mommy won't let him have his paci outside his bed, so he is content to stay there just so he can have it! I love that I can crawl into bed with him at night and read him stories and pray and talk about our day. It is one of my favorite things to do now!The Skibbenshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02994700787496693217noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1416544389638840896.post-66083945684598093292012-09-13T21:25:00.001-07:002012-09-13T21:25:51.134-07:00Noah is 4 months old!On 9/4/12 Noah was 4 months old! I can't believe how FAST this last 4 months has gone! This little boy is truely a sweet sweet boy! I sure am lucky to be his momma! This month Noah was 15lbs and 23.5 inches long...hmmm...last month he was 24.5 inches long...someone's measurements were off. I'll have to see if I can measure him tomorrow!
Noah has been sleeping in his crib now for about a month and it doing great. He typically goes down between 7:30-8pm and gets up around 2ish to eat and goes right back down till 8am. He also has been taking 2, 2 hour or so naps a day in his bed. Well in the afternoon, sometimes he naps with me. I love that about my boy. He loves to cuddle with mommy! :)
Since about 3 1/2 months Noah has been an official "roller" He can roll himself both ways, and it's pretty funny to me. He already is trying to roll away from me while I change his diaper. Lord, help me! If this boy is ALREADY on the move...I can't even imagine what it will be like when he is running around with his big brother! Tonight while Noah was on his belly he was scootching himself forward towards daddy. Little nut-so wants to keep up with Luke!
This little man is such a happy boy! He is such a joy. I love watching him grow! The Skibbenshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02994700787496693217noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1416544389638840896.post-44499754471391630242012-07-13T20:56:00.002-07:002012-07-13T20:58:36.176-07:00Noah is 2 months old! This post is a little late, because now Noah is 10 weeks old, but on July 4th Noah was 2 months old already! I can't believe how fast he is growing! He is definitely a lot smiley-er than Luke was as a baby. Luke was SO hard to get him to smile. Noah smiles all the time and has even laughed a few times! He has been trying lately to roll himself over, which is crazy to me, but I think he is ready to get up and move so he can run away from his nut-so big brother! Luke LOVES to be right in his face when he talks to him and tries to pick him up all the time, and drives his cars and trucks all over his face, and has more times than I'd like to share has been let's just call it "rough" with Noah. I guess that's what I get for having 2 boys. We have many years of fights ahead of us, I am sure.

Noah has been a fantastic sleeper for me since probably about 4 or 5 weeks old. He sleeps usually anywhere between 6-9 hours straight. At this point I feel extremely blessed because I know it is NOT normal for this to be happening, and I also know that it doesn't mean this is how it will be ALL the time. I learned fast with Luke that you can't get used to anything with a baby, because as soon as you do, they change it up just to make things interesting!

At Noah's appt he weighed 12 lbs and was 22.5 inches long! Love every inch of my sweet baby boy!!
He has brought so much joy ink our lives already! Luke is a really good big brother, always helping mommy out when Noah cries by bringing him his paci, an giving him kisses and he loves to give his baby brother "knuckles"

Noah weighed 10 lbs 3 oz and was 22 inches long! Growing so fast already! He barely fits in a lot of his newborn clothes and really only wore newborn diapers for about a week! He eats like a champ, and sleeps ok. Hoping he figures it out soon that bedtime is not after midnight! :)
I can't believe Luke is already 18 months old!! My little baby boy is no longer a baby! He is growing up so fast. He has a huge vocabulary now, he can repeat almost everything we say, and knows exactly what I am saying to him when talking. He is so smart!
He plays with trucks all day long, talks about trucks when he is not playing with trucks and when we are driving down the street he gets super excited when he sees trucks! Now when he hears an ambulance or fire truck in the distance when we are playing outside he stops and cups his hand around his ear and says "Amey!!" Luke was not getting the listening part of class, but to my amazement, now that we are at the end of the class, Luke is learning to follow the teachers directions! YAY! When Miss Alison tells the kids to come and find a circle to sit on Luke runs over and finds one and sits down, and also follows directions when the teacher shows him how to use the equiptment. (Not always, but at least he is trying now!)...WOAH...That is a huge improvement from the last month! Doesn't mean he listens to mommy though, we are working on that one. And getting a vghis new temper tantrums

I am so proud of Luke and we love to watch him grow and his silly little personality shine through! He reminds me a lot of his daddy, and my dad. They both are always being silly, and since Jared and my dad are Luke's favorite people in the whole world, I am not surprised that he has a silly personality just like them.

And Luke ran circles in the bay area at the fire station from truck to truck "ooohhing and ahhhing" It is an understatement to say he LOVES trucks. He is in Heaven looking at the trucks and playing on them with daddy. He is such a lucky boy to have such a cool daddy :)

After the stop at the fire station we went with my parents and brother and his partner Mikey to my Aunt and Uncles house to have Christmas with some of my mom's side of the family. It was great to see everyone and Luke got to play with his buddy Ben. My cousins son who is a month younger than Luke, so they are so fun to watch "playing" with each other....or maybe just taking each others toys :)
It just depends how his shift falls, and this year we got very unlucky with almost every holiday but Thanksgiving Jared has been working. So we made the most of it and had our own Christmas on Wednesday 12/21. I made homemade cinnamon rolls and a sausage and egg casserole the night before so in the morning when I woke up I threw them into the oven and then we had a fabulous breakfast together!

Then after we ate we watched Luke open his presents. Jared and I decided not to get each other presents this year. It always seems to silly to buy each other gifts with our money. So we just got Luke and the dogs gifts. It was so fun to watch Luke open presents, last year he slept through us opening his presents for him. This year he tore the paper off by himself and was so excited about each gift!
After this we dropped Luke off where he napped again at Grammy and Grampy's and we went to my dr's appt and got to hear the baby's heartbeat and find out that I passed the glucose tolerance test...BUT as great as that sounds, I have to take it again at the normal time 28ish weeks. Let's hope I pass it then too!!

Then Jared and I went out for a date to Cheesecake Factory and went to church together to Willowcreek's Christmas program. It was a beautiful service, as always.

It was a perfect day. Merry Christmas!!!!The Skibbenshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02994700787496693217noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1416544389638840896.post-13612990368338020462011-12-15T08:10:00.000-08:002011-12-15T08:10:02.709-08:0015 MONTHS OLD!Luke is 15 months old now! I can't believe how fast this last 15 months has flown by! He is getting SO big. We went to the doctor this week and he weighed in at 23lbs 1oz and was 31 inches long!

Luke is doing so much now, everyday it seems like he learns something new. He says a bunch of words now, his favorite though is "GO" is runs around saying "GO GO GO GO!" Jared and I started saying "GO GO GADGET" and sure enough...now this kid runs around saying "GO GO GADGET!" (the gadget part isn't that clear, but it is so funny how fast they pick things up! I guess I better start watching what I say!

We have just started a few days ago trying to teach Luke some sign language and he has already signed "more" and "milk" after just introducing it! It really amazes me how smart he is!

Luke LOVES trucks! He has a bunch of trucks and when we are driving down the road he gets so excited when he sees trucks! He says "K K K" He doesn't say the whole word, but makes the K sound and points. It is so funny how excited he gets!

Luke is a daddy's boy, no doubt about it. He adores his daddy and his grampy (my dad). He gets SO excited when either of them walk into a room! He can't contain his excitement, he starts throwing things and knocking things off tables. He turns into the Hulk when he sees them!

Luke has a TON of teeth now! He has about 11 or 12, that have popped through. 5 of those were in the last couple weeks. He is really good about teething, I had NO clue he even had teeth coming through till I stuck my finger in there.

There are so many other things Luke is doing, I could go on all day, but don't worry, I won't! :)
